1. What is Session Analytics App
Session Analytics App is an app that enables users to create and manage multiple analysis sessions for a given day or across a selected date range. Each session captures data within its defined time frame, allowing users to examine patterns, trends, and performance metrics specific to that period.
1.0 Session Configurations
Before proceeding with any app session analysis, users must create a session for the relevant site.
1.1 Session
This page displays all existing events and allows users to create new events or edit current ones. It also includes filtering options to help locate specific events more easily.
1.1.1 How to Create New Session
Step 1 - Navigate to Session Analytics > Session Configurations > Sessions.
Step 2 - Click on the +New Session button > Configure Session Manually at the top right of the page.
Step 3 - Enter the details of the session, then click on the Create button to create new session.

1.1.2 How to Edit Existing Session
Step 1 - Navigate to Session Analytics > Session Configurations > Sessions
Step 2 - Click on the Pen icon of the particular session row to open the session settings page.
Step 3 - Update the details and click on the Update button to save the changes.

1.2 Session List
Session List allows users to choose a specific Site and apply a date range filter to see all sessions that were created for that Site within the selected date range. This makes it easy to focus only on the sessions that are relevant to a particular location and period, helping users quickly review, compare, and manage the data without having to go through unrelated sessions.

1.3 Session Type
Users can create and categorize different session types in this section.
1.2.1 How to Create New Session Type
Step 1 - Navigate to Session Analytics > Session Configurations > Session Type.
Step 2 - Click on the +Add New Session Type button.
Step 3 - Enter the Session Type Name and click Create button to finalize the new session type.
1.2.2 How to Edit existing Session Type
Step 1 - Navigate to Session Analytics > Session Configurations > Session Type.
Step 2 - Click on the Edit button of the particular session type row to open the session type settings popup.
Step 3 - Modify the details and click on the Save button to save the changes.

1.2.3 How to Delete existing Session Type
Step 1 - Navigate to Session Analytics > Session Configurations > Session Type.
Step 2 - Click on the Edit button of the particular session type row to open the session type settings popup.
Step 3 - Click on the Delete button to delete the session type.
2.0 Post Review
2.1 Session Type Review
Session Type Review allows users to choose a specific Site and apply a date range filter to see all sessions that were created for that Site within the selected date range. Within this dashboard, the filtered sessions are presented along with interactive analytic charts, giving users a clear visual overview of session trends and performance. These insights help users analyze patterns, compare results, and apply the findings to support their business decisions.

2.2 Compare Sessions
Compare Sessions allows users to first select a specific Site and choose a session type. From there, they can pick two session instances within that session - for example, the same session from different dates--to compare side by side. The dashboard then displays the data for both sessions, making it easy for users to identify differences, spot trends, and evaluate performance across sessions.

Users can select 2 different session instances from the selected sessions to compare their data. A session instance refers to the same type of session occurring on different dates - for example, comparing the Lunch Time session from this week with the Lunch Time session from last week. |
