8.0 Floorplan
The Floorplan Designer allows you to upload floorplans of your stores and plot camera placements directly onto them. This streamlines the installation process for sites that require multiple devices, giving teams a clear visual reference during setup. Beyond installation, the tool also enables tracking of additional data points--such as heatmaps and area-level engagement analytics--providing deeper insight into how each space is being used.
8.1 Actual Floorplan
8.1.2 Floorplan List

- Floorplan list: A complete list of available floorplans, both virtual and actual.
- Actual floorplans are "real," business-ready layouts tied to live sites.
- Virtual floorplans act as a planning canvas: you can plot devices on them before installation begins, and can even create them for sites that have not yet been added to the system.
- "New Floor Plan" button: Opens a form for creating a new floorplan. From there, you can either upload a custom image or start from a default template, and may designate the plan as virtual or actual.
- Because a floorplan can contain multiple areas, an area group must be assigned to it during setup. Area groups themselves can be configured on the Smart Area page.
- "Import DWG File" button: Allows you to import an AutoCAD DWG file to generate a new floorplan. Note that this method currently supports the creation of actual floorplans only.
The following actions are available for each floorplan:
- Configure: Opens the Floorplan Designer tool.
- Setting: Opens a form where you can update the area group, and even the site, that the floorplan is bound to.
- Update 3D Floorplan: Lets you upload a .obj file to serve as a 3D version of the floorplan.
