1.1.1 Overview

A heat map is a data visualization technique that shows magnitude of a phenomenon as color in two dimensions. The variation in color may be by hue or intensity, giving obvious visual cues to the reader about how the phenomenon is clustered or varies over space. In this case, the foot traffic and dwell time data is represented in the form of a floor plan in which data values are represented as colours. The Heat Map feature is to provide Zone Analytics to identify Hotspot Zone in a premise.

1.1.2 Function

1.1.3 How does it work?

1.1.3.1 Heatmap Counting

The Heatmap Counting is primarily taking Timestamp and Dwell Time into account.

The longer the dwell time, the more intensity the colours are on the Heatmap.

1.1.3.2 Heatmap Table

The Heatmap Table is used to visualize hot spots within data sets, and to show patterns or correlations. The intensity of the colour increases from 0 to 10K. Please refer to the image below for the table:

1.1.3.3 Heatzone

The heat zone will be configured to two coordinates, the x geometry axis and the y geometry axis on the floorplan of the premise. The geometry data will be scaled for the live view for the feature to work. 

1.1.3.4 Heat Map Duration

The heat map has two different type of report:

HOURLY - Data aggregated and updated to the dashboard hourly

DAILY -  Data aggregated and updated to the dashboard daily

1.2 Heatmap Analytical Report

1.2.1 Customer To-Do

In order to configure the heat map feature, customer have to send us the following documents:

• Floor Plan with Dimension (Raw / Plain)

• Floor Plan with Dimension Showing the Location of the Counter with Counter Name or Serial (Plotting or Sketching will do)

With the relevant documents, FootfallCam team will be able to configure the counter and dashboard to enable the heatmap feature. 

1.2.2 Report Content

The report will contain the following floorplan:

• Heatmap Analysis

• Daily Passer-by

• Daily Engaged Customer

• Hourly Passer-by

• Hourly Engaged Customer

• Summary Table of Data

1.3 Floorplan

1.3.1 Upload Floorplan

STEP 1 - Access to FootfallCam Analytic Manager V9™: http://v9.footfallcam.com via Google Chrome.

STEP 2 - Click on Setting > Upload Floorplan to access the Floorplan Configuration Page page.

STEP 3 - Make sure that there is already an existing site for the floorplan. If there is no site yet for the floorplan, follow 3.1 Set up site individually https://www.footfallcam.com/people-counting/knowledge-base/chapter-3-setting-up-sites/

STEP 4 - On the right-side bar, select the site that the floorplan is being upload for. Then select the the floorplan to be uploaded to the website and select upload.

STEP 5 - Enter the floor name as well as the floor plan name. As there is currently no other floor in the site, the first floorplan will be considered as the 1st floor of the site. 

Multiple Floorplan can be added for the site, the floorplan that is uploaded can be on the same floor or on different floor or on different floor. For floorplan on a new floor, a new floor name is required for the floor if the new floorplan is on existing created floor. Select the floor level the floorplan is for.

2.0 Occupancy dashboard

Users that are interested in reviewing the current occupancy count of visitors in a compound will be able to access the occupancy dashboard available from the FootfallCam Analytic Manager to review the current occupancy in the confined area. The occupancy dashboard will be updated on seconds basis. For users to access the occupancy dashboard:

1. Navigate to the occupancy dashboard by selecting Occupancy on the tab under Reports.

How does occupancy counting works?

The occupancy dashboard works by performing three steps within a time frame of one second to showcase the data from what the counter retrieve and into the FootfallCam Analytic Manager. The three steps are as follow:

• Data will be streamed from the FootfallCam into the FootfallCam central database every second.

• Data streamed to the FootfallCam central database will be aggregated before it will be displayed in the occupancy dashboard. This step is crucial as it will aggregate the visitor counts if there are multiple counters installed in one store.

• Once all visitor counts have been aggregated, the current occupancy will be live and available in the Occupancy dashboard. Users may choose to connect the dashboard to an external monitor or display by copying the URL link provided and pasting it to the video wall.

2.1 Setting up Live Occupancy 

2.1.1 Request for Live Occupancy Solution

STEP 1 - Access to FootfallCam Analytic Manager V9™: https://v9.footfallcam.com via browser.

STEP 2 - Click on Maintenance > Support Portal to access the Support Portal page.

STEP 3 - Click on +Raise a Ticket button to access the Raise a Trouble Ticket page.

STEP 4 - Complete the process by entering all the required fields and click on Submit button.

2.1.3.1 Change Threshold

Threshold used to define the occupancy limit and user able to define in two level which are:

• Threshold 1 - Warning occupancy value.

• Threshold 2 - Maximum occupancy of the premise and turn dashboard to RED when threshold is met.

2.1.3.2 Embedded URL

Users allow to embed in two level shown as below:

Option 1 - Embed the whole dashboard.

STEP 1 - Click on Custom Report and navigate to the dashboard.

STEP 2 - Click on Dropdown menu icon on top-right and select Embedded Dashboard.

STEP 3 - Paste the Report URL to your Mobile Application or Electron App (Mini Computer).

Option 2 - Embed a specific widget.

STEP 1 - Click on Custom Report and navigate to the dashboard.

STEP 2 - Click on Widget and an Embed icon will show on the top-right of the widget.

STEP 3 - Click on the Embed icon and paste the Report URL to your Mobile Application or Electron App (Mini Computer).

2.1.4 Dashboard Display Option

2.1.4.1 Space Occupancy Mobile App

STEP 1 - Download the mobile application via link: Occupancy (Android) FootfallCam Occupancy (iOS) STEP 2 - Enter the Embedded URL then click on Submit. (Info: For more information on Embedded URL, please refer to Section 17.1.3.2.)

2.1.4.1.1 Change Embedded URL

STEP 1 - Long Press for few seconds on screen to trigger a pop out box. STEP 2 - Click on Setting button for back to home page to re-enter Embedded URL.

2.1.4.1.2 Casting Device

STEP 1 - Long Press for few seconds on screen to trigger a pop out box.

STEP 2 - Click on Cast button.

STEP 3 - Ensure the casting device and Android Device are connected with same network.

STEP 4 - Click on Touch To Cast to select the device for casting.

STEP 5 - Dashboard will displays on the casting device.

2.1.4.1.3 Exit the Application

STEP 1 - Long Press for few seconds on screen to trigger a pop out box.

STEP 2 - Click on the Exit button.

STEP 3 - Enter the password - ffc888.

2.1.4.1.4 Manual Occupancy

STEP 1 - Click on Manual Counting:

STEP 2 - Scan the QR Code on dashboard of the specific site for first time access.

(Note: A pop-out box will appear to request for resume the last session.)

STEP 3 - Enter the value and press + icon or - icon to perform manual adjustment on occupancy.

2.1.4.1.5 Force Update

STEP 1 - A pop-out box will appear for update request if the version is NOT up-to-date. STEP 2 - Android version allow to download the latest version via APK or Google Play. (Note: For APK is recommended to uninstall and reinstall using the downloaded APK.)

2.1.4.2 Integration with Magic Mirror

STEP 1 - Setup the FootfallCam Magic Mirror 24™ as the diagram above.

STEP 2 - Raise a support ticket for Electron App setup. For more information on Raising a Support Ticket, please refer to FootfallCam Analytic Manager User Guide Section 24.3.

2.1.4.3 Integration with Mini Computer

STEP 1 - Setup the Monitor and FootfallCam Mini Computer™ as the diagram above.

STEP 2 - Power on the both devices (Monitor and FootfallCam Mini Computer™).

STEP 3 - Login to FootfallCam Analytic Manager V9™ and copy the embedded URL.

STEP 4 - Click on Occupancy icon on desktop and select Execute.

STEP 5 - Complete the process by entering all the required fields and click on Confirm button.

2.1.4.3.1 Update Mini Computer

STEP 1 - Power on the device and ensure the device is connecting to internet via Ethernet cable.

STEP 2 - Leave the device in that state for at least 2 hours and proceed back to Section 2.1.4.3 - Step 4.

2.1.4.3.2 Change Embedded URL

STEP 1 - Click on the Folder icon at the top-left corner of the display.

(Note: Press ALT + F4 key if the icon is NOT found on desktop.)

STEP 2 - Navigate to SpaceOccupancyDashboardPi4 folder > resource > app.

STEP 3 - Navigate to urlParam.json file, right click and select Text Editor.

STEP 4 - Replace the value of isFirstTime from 0 to 1.

STEP 5 - Press CTRL + S key to save the file and close the Text Editor.

STEP 6 - Proceed back to Section 2.1.4.3 - Step 3.

2.2 Report Builder

2.2.1 Dashboard & Reports Page Overview

2.2.2 New Folder Creation

Name:

Users are required to enter a name for the folder. (Maximum 40 characters)

Folders:

Users are required to select the folder's location. If no folder is selected, the location of the folder will be on the main page. If a folder is selected from the dropdown list, the new folder will be the sub-folder of the selected folder.

Privacy Settings:

Users are able to set the privacy of the folder. Only the folder creator is able to see the folder if the privacy settings is set to private (Only Me).

If the role of the login user is User (not Admin), the user is not allowed to create a new folder and the folder creation button is hidden.

2.2.3 How to Create New Dashboard / Report

Name:

Users are required to enter a name for the dashboard / report. (Maximum 40 characters)

Type:

Users are required to choose the type of the report. For the Dashboard, it is used to monitor real-time data (e.g. Live Space Occupancy, Live Visitor Count, etc.) while for the Report, it is used to analyze the historical data (e.g. Daily Visitor Count, Monthly Visitor Count, etc.).

Granularity:

The default granularity for both dashboard / report is Site. Granularity is used to determine the level of data aggregation in the dashboard / report.

Time Interval:

For Dashboard, the time interval will be set as "Live" (Readonly). For Report, the dropdown option will exclude the "Live" option. If "Custom Date Range" is selected, Set Specific Date Range checkbox will be shown. If the checkbox is selected, users are required to choose Start Date and End Date for the report, else if the checkbox is unselected, the Start Date and End Date will be reset to null. If "Based on Marketing Campaign" is selected, the granularity will be reset to "Site" and set as readonly.

Folders:

Users are required to select the dashboard / report's location. If no folder is selected, the location of the dashboard / report will be on the main page. If a folder is selected from the dropdown list, the new dashboard / report will be located at the selected folder.

Privacy Settings:

If a folder is selected, the privacy settings will be overwritten with the selected folder's privacy settings and set the field as readonly, else if no folder is selected, users are able to select the privacy settings of the new dashboard / report.

2.2.4 Space Occupancy Dashboard Configuration Using Duplicate Function

Standard Template Folder

The default 2 dashboards (staff view and custom view) and 1 report template is allocated to this folder. Users can duplicate the required dashboard / report from this folder. Please follow the following steps for duplicating a new report using the template folder.

Step 1: Click the "View" button to access the folder which consists of the custom reports template.

Step 2: Click the "View" button for the report / dashboard that you want to make a copy.

Step 3: Click the "Duplicate" button from the dropdown list with bars icon.

Step 4: Set the report setting for the new copy of the custom report. For how to set the report setting, kindly refer to the "Duplicate function" in 2.2.9.2.

Step 5: Please configure the widget settings and double check the widget configurations before save to prevent output incorrect data from the dashboard / report. The figures below show the mandatory widget configurations. 

When make a new copy for Space Occupancy Dashboard, please take note to the following mentioned widgets.

Widgets to be configured: H03D, B01D, G01D

Please select the correct site for all the widgets mentioned above to prevent incorrect data output.

For G01D, please tick the checkbox for "Bind to Specific Data Source?" in the Data tab and select the correct site and click "Apply" to apply the settings.

2.2.5 Tree View Structure

The treeview is sorted by Folders first then Dashboard / Report according to alphabetical order. Users are able to search Folder / Dashboard / Report using the search box. Created By field displays the user who created the folder / dashboard / report.

Trash Folder

All deleted folders / dashboards / reports are allocated to this folder. Users are able to restore the deleted folders / dashboards / reports by clicking the "Restore" button.

2.2.6 Setting and Configuration 

2.2.6.1 Folder Settings

Name:

Users are able to rename the folder's name. By default, show the current folder name.

Folders:

Users are able to relocate the folder location by selecting the list of folders from the dropdown options. By default, show the current folder location.

Privacy Settings:

If a folder is selected, the privacy settings will be overwritten with the selected folder's privacy settings and set the field as readonly, else if no folder is selected, users are able to select the privacy settings of the folder. By default, show the current folder privacy settings.

Created On: (Readonly field)

Creation date of the current folder.

Created By: (Readonly field)

Username of the current folder creator.

If the role of the login user is User (not Admin), the user is not allowed to delete the folder and make changes for the folder settings. Both "Delete" and "Save" buttons are hidden.

2.2.7 View the Created Report/Dashboard

When the "View" button is clicked, the user will be redirected to treeview which shows all the dashboards / reports of the selected folder. Users are able to go back to the parent folder by clicking the "Back" button.

2.2.8 Dashboard / Report Settings

Name:

Users are able to rename the dashboard's / report's name. By default, show the current dashboard / report name. If the dashboard / report is not created by the login user and the role of the login user is "User" (not Admin), this field is set as readonly.

Type: (Readonly)

This field shows the type of custom report.

Granularity: (Readonly)

This field shows the current dashboard's / report's granularity.

Folders:

Users are able to relocate the dashboard / report location by selecting the list of folders from the dropdown options. By default, show the current dashboard / report location.

Privacy Settings:

If a folder is selected, the privacy settings will be overwritten with the selected folder's privacy settings and set the field as readonly, else if no folder is selected, users are able to select the privacy settings of the current dashboard / report. By default, show the current dashboard / report privacy settings.

Bookmark:

Bookmarked dashboard / report will be pinned at the Left Side Panel under the menu item "Dashboard & Reports". The maximum number of the bookmarked dashboard / report is 5 per UserID. If it exceeds the number of bookmarked dashboards / reports, the checkbox is disabled and displays "Maximum number of bookmarked dashboard /reports reached." Only the checkbox of bookmarked dashboard / report is enabled. The bookmarked dashboard / report is sorted by alphabetical order.

Created On: (Readonly field)

Creation date of the current dashboard / report.

Created By: (Readonly field)

Username of the current dashboard / report creator.

2.2.8.1 View Button (Dashboard / Report)

2.2.9 Occupancy Report

2.2.9.1 Filter Options (Right Sidebar)

For dashboard (custom) and report, the granularity and time interval selection at the right sidebar will depend on the granularity and time interval selected during creation. Click "Apply" to view the data with the selected granularity and time interval.

2.2.9.2 Duplicate function

Name:

This field is editable. By default, show original dashboard / report name with index.

Type: (Readonly)

This field follows the selected type of the original dashboard / report.

Granularity: (Readonly)

This field follows the selected granularity of the original dashboard / report.

Time Interval:

This field is editable. By default, follow the selected time interval of the original dashboard / report.

Folders:

This field is editable. By default, follow the selected folder of the original dashboard / report. If a folder is selected, privacy settings will be overwritten with the selected folder and set this field as read-only.

Privacy Settings:

This field is editable. By default, follow the selected privacy settings of the original dashboard / report.

2.2.10 How to Edit the Dashboard 

If the role of login user is "User" (not Admin), the login user is unable to modify the dashboard / report.

Granularity:

1. Follow Dashboard / Report Setting

   The Granularity will follow the dashboard / report selected granularity during creation and the dropdown granularity list will depend on the original selected granularity.

2. Follow Widget Setting

   Users can select the granularity manually and the dropdown granularity list will depend on the selected granularity.

Time Interval:

1. Follow Dashboard / Report Setting

   The Time Interval will follow the dashboard / report selected time interval during creation.

2. Follow Widget Setting

   Users can select the time interval manually.

Attribute/Metric:

Select metric for the data visualization.

Remove Widget Button:

Remove the widget from the reports.

To display the threshold value for the selected metric, make sure the metric threshold definition is defined and value is set. For more information on how to Create Metric Threshold Definition and Value, please refer to 15.5.2 Metric Threshold. 

2.3 Integration with GPIO

• Description: A feature used to integrate the site's sensor door with the site's occupancy count.

• Usage: It is used to automatically close the door when the site occupancy has breached the threshold set by users and opens again only when the occupancy goes under the threshold again when some visitors have exited from the site.

• Additional Kit: Live Occupancy Function (refer to Chapter 2: Live Occupancy Configuration)

• Input from Users: Device serial of which users which to have this feature.

2.4 Live Occupancy Management

With the analytical data generated and portrayed through the report, the management are able to have an overall view in the sales viewpoint of how the store is performing and make business decisions through solid data to navigate your business to the right direction.

In short, the reports serve the purpose to:

a) Provide Information regarding sales objectives and business results.
b) Act as the professional development of the business.

3.1.3 How does it work?

By collecting the footfall data and using the sales data uploaded by the company.

4.1.1 Overview

Queue counting enable users to identify the wait time of consumers, the duration consumers stay at the cashier, and the length of time it takes for a consumer to receive their order after placing it at the cashier. Queue data will help store managers to determine peak hours and whether more staff should be planned for deployment during peak times.

4.1.2 Function

The queue counting features uses three configurable zones:

• Head zone: This zone is used to define the area the consumer will be in when they are placing an order with the cashier. It Is used to calculate the duration consumers are detected while they are with the cashier and to determine the length of time it takes for a consumer to receive their order after placing it.

• Tail zone: This zone is used to track all the individuals in the queue and is made up of the head zone and a tail zone. The head zone is the connection between the cashier polygon and the tracking zone, while the tail zone is the opposite end. If an individual stand in the zone for a period exceeding the configured time, the queue is considered open. If the zone does not detect an individual for a period exceeding the configured time, the queue is considered closed.

4.1.2.1 Head zone

This zone is used to allows the system to determine where the consumer will go when they are conversing with the cashier. When an individual stand inside the cashier polygon, they will be tracked for the duration they stay in the zone.

4.1.2.2 Tail Zone

This zone will be used to track the consumers that enter the queue. For an individual to be counted within a queue, an individual must pass through the following constraints:

• They must enter the queue counting through the tail zone

• Must pass counting constraints (minimum height)

• Must be within the tracking zone for longer than the queue minimum time

Everyone in the queue area must be within a specified distance from the previous individual tracked

4.1.3 How does it work?

4.1.3.1 Dynamic queue counting

With dynamic queue counting zone configuration, FootfallCam can track individuals in a queue regardless of their queueing pattern.

Each queue counter must be configured with a tracking distance. The tracking distance is the maximum distance that an individual must be from another individual already in the queue to be tracked. If an individual who meets the tracking distance and meets the queue minimum time, the individual will be tracked and is considered as in queue. The tracking distance is a configurable threshold that can be adjusted based on each store's unique environment.

4.1.3.2 Excluding customers not in the queue

Consumers that are not within the configured tracking distance will be excluded from the queue. This is to ensure that outliers that are detected within the queue tracking zone are not mistakenly assumed as in queue by the device.

The tracking distance is calculated as a radius from the individual tracked.

4.1.3.3 Counting over a large area

When one counter is unable to cover the entire entrance, multiple counters may be required. In this case, the live view of multiple counters will be combined to create one complete view to track the visitor through the entire queue.

4.1.4 Queue duration

4.1.4.1 Average queue waiting time

The queue wait time calculates the length of time a person enters the queue tracking zone and entering the cashier polygon. Though not all individual that enter the queue will have a queue wait time. For an individual to have a queue wait time, they must pass through the following constraints:

• Must pass counting constraint (minimum height)

• Be tracked continuously through the queue

• Enter the cashier polygon from within the queue tracking zone

Once the individual leaves the tracking zone and enter the cashier polygon, there will be a timestamp and the waiting time will be calculated based on the difference. The wait time will be calculated as follow:

4.1.4.2 Average ordering time

The ordering time calculates the length of time a person enters the cashier polygon through the queue tracking zone and leaving the cashier polygon. For an individual to have an ordering time, they must pass through the following constraints:

• Must pass counting constraint (minimum height)

• Enter the cashier polygon from within the queue tracking zone

When an individual meets the constraint, their time of entering the cashier polygon will be recorded and calculated against the time they leave the polygon. Their ordering time will be calculated as follow:

4.1.4.3 Average order fulfillment time

The order fulfilment time is used to calculate the length of time a person places an order from the cashier and receives their order from the pick-up area (if there is one). For stores without a pickup area, the duration of the order fulfilment will be based on the duration they are in the cashier polygon.

For stores with a pickup area, signature profiling with stereoscopic vision will be used. This is done by recognising the colour of their clothes, gender, body size, and skin tone and girth of an individual. In addition to signature profiling. With the recognition of signature profiling of every individual, FootfallCam can uniquely identify everyone that will pick up their order after placing it at the cashier within a certain time frame.

Through this, when a consumer enters the pick-up zone, it will be considered as their orders being fulfilled. However, the recognition of signature profiling will have a configured set time limit, all signature profile recognised from the cashier polygon that have not entered the pick-up zone will be automatically deleted.

4.2 Queue Management Report

The queue management report template is located in the Standard Template Folder entitled "[Template] Queue Management Report". To subscribe the queue counting feature, the counter is required to tick "Queue Management" as counter usage. You may refer to this link on how to set counter usage.

4.2.1 Report Creation

There are 2 methods to create this report.

Method 1

Create report by clicking "+ New Dashboard / Report"

Step 1: Configure the field on the report creation modal. You may refer to the image below for the configuration.

Name:

Users are required to enter a name for the report. (Maximum 40 characters)

Type: 

Select Report. 

Granularity:

Select Area to monitor each individual queue area.

Time Interval:

For Report, the dropdown option will exclude the "Live" option. If "Custom Date Range" is selected, Set Specific Date Range checkbox will be shown. If the checkbox is selected, users are required to choose Start Date and End Date for the report, else if the checkbox is unselected, the Start Date and End Date will be reset to null. If "Based on Marketing Campaign" is selected, the granularity will be reset to "Site" and set as readonly. 

Folders:

Users are required to select the report's location. If no folder is selected, the location of the report will be on the main page. If a folder is selected from the dropdown list, the new report will be located at the selected folder.

Privacy Settings:

If a folder is selected, the privacy settings will be overwritten with the selected folder's privacy settings and set the field as readonly, else if no folder is selected, users are able to select the privacy settings of the new report.

If the role of the login user is User (not Admin), the user is not allowed to create a new report and the report creation button is hidden.

Method 2

Duplicate the report in Standard Template Report folder

Step 1: Click the "View" button to access the Standard Template Folder. 

Step 2: Click the "View" button to view the [Template] Queue Management Report. Click the Option button on the top right as shown in the image below. Then, click "Duplicate".

4.2.2 Area Configuration for Queue Management 

To monitor each individual queueing area for each counter, you may configure each individual counter as an Area.

5.1.1 Zone configuration

For zone configuration to be done, it requires floorplan of the mall to be uploaded. If there is no floorplan for the zone that is about to be configured, please follow 11.3.1 https://www.footfallcam.com/people-counting/knowledge-base/chapter-16-heat-map-configuration/

5.1.1.1 Identifying the zone

After the floor plan has been uploaded into the FootfallCam Analytic Manager, the user will be able to identify the zones within the shopping mall according to the FootfallCam counters that were installed.

STEP 1 - Access to FootfallCam Analytic Manager V9™: http://v9.footfallcam.com via Google Chrome.

STEP 2 - Click on Setting > Zone Configuration to access the Zone Configuration Page.

STEP 3 - Click on Edit for the floorplan that wants to add the zone configuration into

STEP 4 - Click on + Add Zone to add zone into the floorplan

STEP 5 - Enter zone name and if the zone is an entrance to the site, tick the entrance checkbox. Then click on Create

STEP 6 - Drag and drop the newly created zone to where the zone should be on the floorplan.

STEP 7 - Select the zone from the drop-down list for each of the counters at the bottom of the page. Once completed click on Save

Note: Only one counter can be allocated to one zone

6.1 Area Counting

A shopping mall can be partitioned into a few areas to observe the footfall at that specific area. The area specified required to be configured in FootfallCam Analytic Manager to indicate ROI (Region of Interest) and IN count, OUT count line for the footfall device. (For more information, please refer to Chapter 10: Accuracy Audit.) 

In Area A, line 1 (green line) indicates IN line while line 2 (blue line) indicates OUT line.

If an area contains more than one footfall device, then all the devices should be defined during area configuration. 

The footfall counting data for Area A will be the summation of footfall for device C1, C2 and C3. Therefore, if any of the device(s) is not define during area configuration, the data will be inaccurate.

The same footfall device can be used to define two areas or more areas.

In this situation, the same device is used for both area A and area B.

For Area A, the IN count is using ROI 1: IN Line and OUT count using ROI 1: OUT Line.

For Area B, the IN count is using ROI 1: OUT Line and OUT count using ROI 1: IN Line. 

Example of setup:

Both Area A and Area B is in site FFC_UK, both using the same device which is FFC Device. However, one area is using ROI 1: IN Line for IN count while another one is using ROI 1: OUT Line for IN count.

If the same device is tuned for same counting module with different region, the ROI count will be the subsequence count. If the same device is tuned for different counting module, the ROI count will be started with ROI 1 for each module.

This definition will be useful for area configuration in the next section.

6.2 Area Configuration

STEP 2 - Click Setting > Area to access the Area List page. 

6.2.1 Create New Area

STEP 3 - Click +New Area button to create a new area.

STEP 4 - Fill in relevant information for the required fields. 

STEP 5 - Click Add button to add the new area. It will be redirect to Area Configuration page.

STEP 6 - Complete the process by entering all the required fields in Dataset tab (Refer to Section 6.2.4 Dataset Configuration for Dataset setting and Section 6.2.5 Threshold Configuration for metric threshold setting).

STEP 7 - Click on Save button to create the area.

6.2.2 Manage Area

STEP 1 - Click Setting > Area to access the Area List page.

STEP 2 - Select the area you wish to update and click on the Edit button.

STEP 3 - Update the relevant information and click Save to save the changes. Click Cancel if you wish to exit the page.

6.2.3 Delete Area

STEP 1 - Click Setting > Area to access the Area List page.

STEP 2 - Select the area that you wish to edit and click on the Edit button.

STEP 3 - Click Delete to delete the area. The deleted area will no longer be reflected in the table located at the Area List page.

6.2.4 Dataset Configuration

STEP 1 - Click + New Dataset to trigger the Add Dataset pop up.

STEP 2 - Select the Counting Module and click Save button to add the dataset.

6.2.4.1 Footfall Counting

6.2.5 Threshold Configuration

Metric threshold is a feature to set a threshold to indicate the region of interest or to alert user when a threshold is breached. User can set metric threshold for area in Area Configuration or in Metric Threshold Setting, the same threshold will be shared between these two pages.

6.2.5.1 Create New Threshold

STEP 1 - Click New Threshold to trigger the Metric Threshold Setting pop up.

STEP 2 - Fill in relevant information for the required fields and click on the Save button.

6.2.5.2 Manage Threshold

STEP 1 - Navigate to the threshold you wish to manage and click the Edit button.

STEP 2 - Update the field(s) you wish to update and click on Save button to save the changes.

6.2.5.3 Delete Threshold

STEP 1 - Navigate to the threshold you wish to delete and click the Edit button.

STEP 2 - Click on Delete button to remove the metric threshold. The deleted metric threshold will no longer be reflected in the table in Threshold at Area Configuration page and the table in Metric Threshold Setting.

6.2.6 Operating Hour Configuration

Operating hour is the operation time where the area will be operational, and the device would be counting. The operating hour of the area can be setup in the Operating Hours

The area operating hours could be set the same with the site by ticking the Same with Site Operating Hours checkbox. If the operating time of the area is different with the site. The time can be set manually for each day with the checkbox for the day being ticked meaning the counter would be operating on that day and uncheck for off days. The time for each day could also be set depending on the site operational needs.

6.3 Area Group Configuration

STEP 2 - Click Setting > Area to access the Area List page.

6.3.1 Create New Area Group

STEP 2 - Click Setting > Area to access the Area List page.

STEP 3 - We will start by creating a child area. Click + New Area button to create a new area.

STEP 4 - Fill in relevant information for the required fields.

STEP 5 - Click Add button to add the new area. It will be redirect to Area Configuration page.

STEP 6 - Complete the process by entering all the required fields in Dataset tab (Refer to Section 6.2.4 Dataset Configuration for Dataset setting and Section 6.2.5 Threshold Configuration for metric threshold setting).

STEP 7 - Click on Save button to create the area.

STEP 8 - Next, we will create a parent area. Click + New Area button to create a new area.

STEP 9 - Fill in relevant information for the required fields. The parent area needs to be under the same site as the child area for the area grouping to be functional.

STEP 10 - Click Add button to add the new area. It will be redirect to Area Configuration page.

STEP 11 - Complete the process by entering all the required fields in Dataset tab (Refer to Section 6.2.4 Dataset Configuration for Dataset setting and Section 6.2.5 Threshold Configuration for metric threshold setting). Areas that are qualified to become child area will be displayed in the dropdown menu.

STEP 12 - Click on Save button to create the area. The parent area is not successfully created. Parent area will "own" all the devices allocated under the child area. In this example, DemoParentArea will now obtain data from device 'VirtualDevice04', because it is the parent of area 'DemoChildArea'.

6.3.2 Manage Area Group

STEP 1 - Click Setting > Area to access the Area List page.

STEP 2 - Select the the area you wish to update and click on the Edit button.

STEP 3 - Update the relevant information and click Save to save the changes. Click Cancel if you wish to exit the page. The parent area can choose to add new device/child area or update existing option to another device/child area.

6.3.3 Delete Area Group

The steps to delete area group is the same as area configuration. Please refer back to topic 6.2.3 Delete Area.

6.3.4 Dataset Configuration

STEP 1 - Click + New Dataset to trigger the Add Dataset pop up.

STEP 2 - Select the Counting Module and click Save button to add the dataset.

6.3.4.1 Footfall Counting

6.3.5 Threshold Configuration

The steps to setup area group threshold configuration are the same as area configuration. Please refer back to topic 6.2.5 Threshold Configuration.

6.3.6 Operating Hour Configuration

The steps to setup area group operating hour are the same as area configuration. Please refer back to topic 21.2.6 Operating Hour Configuration.

6.4 Analytics Center

After area configuration, the analysis for the area counting data can view in Analytics Center. This section focuses on the steps to setup area analytics in Analytics Center.

STEP 2 - Click Analytics Center at the left toolbar to access Analytics page.

STEP 3 - Select Area at Type field at the Options toolbar, update the following field and click Apply.

STEP 4 - Toggle the Compare indicator to allow comparison. Select the comparison type and update the fields accordingly and click Apply.

Compare site. Select the site and respective area for comparison.	Compare Date. Select the date range for comparison.	Compare Metrics. Select the metrics for comparison.

STEP 5 - View the analysis graph at the middle of the analytics page.

8.1.1  Brand and Category of the product  

Products can be categorised according to brand and category. Brand can be used as a filter for the products tagged to it. The brand and the category need to be created before the product can tag to them. This section focuses on the creation and management of brand and category of product.

8.1.1.1 Create New Brand

8.1.1.5 Manage Category

STEP 2 - Select the category to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Update the Category Name and click Save button to save the update.

8.1.1.6 Delete Category

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Category to access the Category List page.

STEP 2 - Select the category to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Complete the process by click on the Delete button at the bottom of the pop-out page.

8.1.2 Create Custom Field List

Sometimes there are info to show on the ESL tag but vary by product, for example promotion end date. It would be troublesome to create different label template due to the promotion end date are fixed text in label template. Custom field feature is a solution to this as it enables to create custom field that accept different value per product. The ESL tag can update accordingly using the same template.

8.1.2.1 Create New Custom Field

STEP 2 - Click on Product > Custom Fields to access the Custom Field List page.

STEP 3 - Click on + New Custom Field button at top right corner to trigger the Create New Custom Field pop up.

STEP 4 - Complete the process by entering preference custom field name and click on Save button.

8.1.2.2 Manage Custom Field

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Custom Fields to access the Custom Field List page.

STEP 2 - Select the custom field to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Update the Custom Field Name and click Save button to save the update.

8.1.2.3 Delete Custom Field

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Custom Fields to access the Custom Field List page.

STEP 2 - Select the custom field to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Complete the process by click on the Remove button at the bottom of the pop-out page.

8.1.3 Create Product List 

This section focuses on the creation and management of products. Information related to the product including the description, pricing, discounted price, and number of units are stored in the system to be used on ESL display.

8.1.3.2 Manage Product

This section focuses on the management of product details. Product general details and pricing details can be updated if required. If a product is having promotion, the ESL label supposed to display the discounted price while after the promotion ended, the ESL label should displays the original price of the product. This can be done by updating the product pricing details Discounted Price field when the promotion started and after the promotion ended.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Product List to access the Product List page.

STEP 2 - Select the product to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Update the required fields and click on Save button.

8.1.3.3 Unpair Brand and Category

Product can be paired to a brand and category and it can be unpaired as well. This section focuses on the way to unpair brand or unpair category.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Product List to access the Product List page.

STEP 2 - Select the product to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Click the Brand field (or Category field) dropdown menu and choose - Select -  to unpair the brand (or Category)

STEP 4 - Complete the process by clicking on Save button.

8.1.3.4 Product linked to Paired Label

The No. of Paired Label column in the Product List indicates the total number of label paired to the product. If there is at least one label paired to the product, by clicking on the No. of Paired Label field in the product details can link to the Label List to view the paired labels information.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Product List to access the Product List page.

STEP 2 - Select the product to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Click on the No. of Paired Label to link to Label List with paired labels information.

8.1.3.5 Create New Custom Price

Custom price is a feature that enable users to customise the price by site level as well as by different type of currency. A product can have only one company level custom price for each currency and it can have different site level custom prices for different sites. If the site level custom price is not defined, then company level custom price is used to display on the ESL label.

This section focuses on the creation of new custom price and next section will explain on the management of custom price for different sites.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Product List to access the Product List page.

STEP 2 - Select the product to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Navigate to Custom Price Section and click + New Custom Price .

STEP 4 - Fill in details, select site to apply pricing and click Save to add custom price.

STEP 5 - Complete the overall process by click on the Save button at the top-right of the page. 

A product can only have one company level custom price for each currency. An error message will prompt if user tried to create the second company level custom price for the same currency. 

However, a product can have one company level custom price for different currency.

Each site can only have one site level custom price for the same currency. If the site already have site level custom price for the selected currency, it will not appeared in the site available field.

8.1.3.6 Manage Custom Price

This section focuses on the management of custom price for different sites to update the prices or change the site paired.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Product List to access the Product List page.

STEP 2 - Select the product to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Select Custom Price to manage, click Edit and configure the details and click Save to apply latest change.

STEP 4 - Complete the overall process by click on the Save button at the top-right of the page.

8.1.4 Create ESL Label template 

ESL label template is the label template that will be displayed on the ESL tag. The label template can be designed and customised based on your preference. 

8.1.4.1 Create New ESL Display Template

STEP 2 - Click on Product > Label Template to access the Label Template List page.

STEP 3 - Click on + New Template button to trigger the New Label Template pop up.

STEP 4 -  Fill up all the required fields and click on Save button.

STEP 5 - Complete the process by click on Confirm button and go into Template Design page.

8.1.4.2 Design Label Template

ESL label template design is a feature that enables customisation on the design of the template according to own preference and purposes.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label Template to access the Label Template List page.

STEP 2 - Select the Label Template to manage and click on the Edit button at the Action column.

STEP 3 - Design the template as your preference.

STEP 4 - Complete the process by click on Save button.

8.1.4.3 Manage Label Template

This section focuses on the management of the label templates created. The details of the template are displayed in the template list. The template design can be preview by mouse over to the preview icon and can be updated if required.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label Template to access the Label Template List page.

STEP 2 - Select the Label Template to manage and click on the Edit button at the Action column.

STEP 3 - Update the template design as your preference.

STEP 4 - Complete the process by click on Save button.

8.1.4.4 Unpair Custom Field

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label Template to access the Label Template List page.

STEP 2 - Select the Label Template to manage and click on the Edit button at the Action column.

STEP 3 - Select the custom field to be unpaired and click on the delete (dustbin icon) and the right toolbar.

STEP 4 - Complete the process by click on Save button.

8.1.4.5 Delete Label Template

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label Template to access the Label Template List page.

STEP 2 - Select the label template to manage and click on Setting button.

STEP 3 - Complete the process by click on the Delete Template button.

8.1.5 Manage Label

After the ESL pairing process is completed, the ESL label is displayed in Label List. The label in the label list shows the information of the ESL and can be updated accordingly.

8.1.5.2 Manage Label Setting

8.1.5.3 Unpair Label Template

Label can be paired to a label template to display on the ESL tag and it can be unpair as well. This section focuses on the way to unpair label template from the label.

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label List to access the Label List page.

STEP 2 - Select the label to manage and click on Edit button.

STEP 3 - Click the Template field dropdown menu and choose a new template to unpair the it with the old template.

STEP 4 - Complete the process by clicking on Save button.

8.1.6 Sync Display template with ESL tags 

After setup for product information and display template, the next step is to sync the display template with the ESL tags. There are two ways of sync, which are Single Label Sync and Multiple Label Sync. 

8.1.6.1 Single Label Sync

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label List to access the Label List page.

STEP 2 - Select the label to sync and click on Sync button.

STEP 3 - Process will be completed and sync status will be updated once syncing is done.

8.1.6.2 Multiple Label Sync

STEP 1 - Click on Product > Label List to access the Label List page.

STEP 2 - Filter Pending or Failed Sync Status Labels via Advanced Search

STEP 3 - Check all the labels to be synced and click on Bulk Sync button.

STEP 4 - Process will be completed and sync status will be updated once syncing is done.

Data Manipulation Module serve to help users to manipulate on the data collected by FootfallCam People Counter which users think maybe inaccurate. The changes made to the data will be permanently overview in database and data displayed in related report will be affected. The data can be reverted back to the original data collected from the FootfallCam People Count if necessary.

9.1.1 Automate Data Manipulation

STEP 1 - Click on Maintenance > Data Manipulation to access Data Manipulation Page.

STEP 2 - Entering all the required fields and click on Preview button.

STEP 3 - Complete the process by click on Apply and agree with the T&C(s).

9.1.2 Manual Data Manipulation

STEP 1 - Entering all the required fields and click on Preview button.

STEP 2 - Complete the process by click on Apply and agree with the T&C(s).

9.1.3 Manual Data Manipulation

STEP 1 - Select either Patch Selection and fill in all the fields based on the data to be manipulated.

STEP 2 - Click Preview and data to be manipulated with site details will be displayed.

STEP 3 - Complete the process by click on Reset and agree with the T&C(s).

9.2 Manual Occupancy

9.2.1 Set Manual Occupancy

STEP 1 - Locate the branch/area that you want to adjust the occupancy.

STEP 2 - Choose correct Occupancy Type to adjust.

STEP 3 - Enter the Value you want to adjust to.

STEP 4 - Click on the "Set Occupancy" button. 

9.2.2 Manual Occupancy API Integration

Manual Occupancy API can be used to update areas' or branches' occupancy by only calling the api itself.

10.1 Create New Floor Plan

STEP 1 - Access to FootfallCam Analytic Manager V9™: http://v9.footfallcam.com via Google Chrome.

STEP 2 - Click on Setting > Floorplan to access the Floor Plans page.

STEP 3 - Click on + New Floor Plan button to access the Floor Plans Design Tool page.

STEP 4 - Enter the Floor Plan Name and Browse the floor plan you want to upload.

STEP 5 - Click on Save button to save the floor plan. After the floor plan is saved, the system will direct you to the Floor Plan Design Tool page.

STEP 6 - Select 2 points on the floor plan, and update the actual distance (mm) to scale the floor plan.

STEP 7 - After all setting are done, click on Save button to save the floorplan.

10.2 Edit Floor Plan

STEP 1 - Access to FootfallCam Analytic Manager V9™: http://v9.footfallcam.com via Google Chrome.

STEP 2 - Click on Setting > Floorplan to access the Floor Plans page.

STEP 3 - Navigate to the floorplan you wanted to edit , click on the Edit button to access Floor Plan Design Tool page.

STEP 4 - Edit the floorplan accordingly and click on Save button to save the floor plan.

10.3 How to Plot the Devices in Floor Plan

10.3.1 Add New Device

STEP 1 - In Floor Plan Design Tool page, click the device logo at the left panel.

STEP 2 - Fill up the required information.

STEP 3 - Click Add button to add the device.

STEP 4 - A device logo with the coverage area will be added into the floor plan, and a row of the device information will be added into the Plotted Device(s) table. You may move the device to the optimum location depending on usage.

STEP 5 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.3.2 Edit Device

STEP 1 - In Floor Plan Design Tool page, navigate to the device to be edited, click on the Edit button.

STEP 2 - Update the necessary field and click the Save button to save the changes.

STEP 3 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.3.3 Delete Device

STEP 1 - In Floor Plan Design Tool page, navigate to the device to be deleted, click on the Edit link.

STEP 2 - Click on the Delete button to delete the device.

STEP 3 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.3.4 Pair Device

If you have allocated the device(s) in the portal, you may pair the device to the plotted device in floor plan. This will ease the communication if you have more than 1 device in the store.

STEP 1 - In Floor Plan Design Tool page, navigate to the plotted device to be paired, click on the Edit link.

STEP 2 - Click on the Pair Device button at the Status field.

STEP 3 - Select the device to be paired and click on Pair button to pair the device.

STEP 4 - Click the Save button to save the changes.

STEP 5 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.3.5 Unpair Device / Change Paired Device

If you would like to change the paired device, you need to unpair the device and pair again. Below are the steps to unpair the device in the floor plan.

STEP 1 - In Floor Plan Design Tool page, navigate to the device you wish to unpair, click on the Edit link.

STEP 2 - Click on the Unpair Device button at the Status field.

STEP 3 - Click on the Pair Device button to unpair the device.

STEP 4 - Update the device information if required. Click on the Save button to save the changes.

STEP 5 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.4 How to Plot the Area Polygons in Floor Plan

Besides devices, you may also plot the area polygon in the floor plan. The plotted area polygon will then be linked to an area (can be configured in Area Configuration page) to present the data of the selected metrics in Floor Plan widget, indicating the coverage area on the floor plan for the selected metric.

10.4.1 Create Area Polygon

STEP 1 - Click on the Ellipse or Rectangle or Polygon button to draw an area.

STEP 2 - Drag on the floor plan for the area to be covered by the polygon.

STEP 3 - Fill in the Polygon Name and select the polygon Colour.

STEP 4 - If you wish to link the polygon to an area or area group, can fill up the dropdown accordingly.

STEP 5 - Click on the Save button to save the polygon plotted.

STEP 6 - You can move or resize the polygon if you wish to.

STEP 7 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.4.2 Edit Area Polygon

STEP 1 - Click on the Area Polygon(s) tab to access the Area Polygon list.

STEP 2 - Navigate to the polygon you would like to edit and click on the Edit button.

STEP 3 - Update the field(s) and click on the Save button to save the changes.

STEP 4 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.

10.4.3 Delete Area Polygon

STEP 1 - Click on the Area Polygon(s) tab to access the Area Polygon list.

STEP 2 - Navigate to the polygon you would like to delete and click on the Delete button.

STEP 3 - Click the Save button at the top right corner of the floor plan to save the floor plan.
