Chapter 1: Overview

1.0 About the Product

LabelNest LN21TM, is a 2.1-inch electronic display device that can be placed on the shelf and replaced the traditional paper price label. The E-paper display technology boasts a high contrast ratio, makes superior viewing angle at nearly 180°. Each device is connected to the FootfallCam 3D Max2TM base station through wireless network. The changes or configuration of the price on the product can be adjusted via LabelNest Analytic Manager software and transmitted to the base station and to the label. The latest content can then be updated on the screen in real time basis with a more efficient way.

1.1 Solution Overview

LabelNest developed a global IoT retail platform to accelerate the digitisation of physical commerce. This infrastructure connect all of the electronic shelf labels throughout all stores in the cloud software to manage precisely every point of sale.  There is a centralise label management software that contains the database for a list of price for each item and maintains the data communication between the software and ESL label tag. FootfallCam people counter is used as a communication station to transmit the information from software to the ESL label tag. The ESL label tag that functions as a receiver will display the price configured from the label management software.
