Under-counting

Under-counting: occurs when the people counters count a fewer number of people than the actual count. This is a weakness when Beam Counters are deployed across a broad entrance. Consistent under-counting can be addressed by applying a correction factor to each set of counts, such as adding 10% to the daily footfall count.
